Okay ...

I'm running a Duo 280c with 7.6.1

I installed the Finder and the System in a folder called System Folder on a
ram disk. I added Disk First Aid to the disk and set it as my start-up disk.

I rebooted. It worked! I run Disk First Aid off of the RAM disk, select my
main drive that needs the minor repairs, and I get the dialogue that says I
can't repair that drive because it's either the start-up disk, has open
items, or has file sharing active. As far as I can tell, none of those
things are going on.

Did I forget to install something on the RAM disk? I checked a bunch of
websites, and all I cna figure out is that I need to use the FInder, the
System and then "whatever special files my computer needs". It's those other
special files that I think I'm forgetting ...

Thanks for listening ... I continue my quest :)
