Once I lost my F5 key the same way. It was very difficult to put it back just by
using my hands. Eventually I got a tweezer with a thin tip. The key has that X shaped
scissors thingy which, if you gently squeeze on the sides at the joint
________
/ ________\
\\ //
\\ //
= => O <== like this
//\\
o/ \\)
then you can keep it in this position. The X thingy has a hinge like tiny bar on one
end (see the 'o' in the figure), that you will have to hook into its place then you
can snap the other side into where it belongs. When done, push it down all the way
with your finger, you may hear a final faint click.
I hope it is clear.
