OK, I've sold all my Duos but.....what the heck is in that area?? The modem 
glue support chips?  Address bus interface chips?  Sounds like a physical 
short circuit....time to disassemble and check out the boards themselves.  If 
it was on the Left Hand side....now, there are the power regulators, caps, HV 
drivers for display, etc.  But the RH side?  Shorted chip (mem chips can get 
quite hot if they short out)?  Well, now's the time to find a 2300 logic and 
upgrade that 230!
