I have the 18gig IBM in my 2400 and it works beautifully, really quiet and I
got it for about $350 after shopping around on www.pricewatch.com. DT&T
installed it >no extra charge< when they replaced a fried motherboard. Be
careful with those OEMs, some are only 1yr warranty. They might be cheaper
but I think the extra $50 or so is worth having a full 3 years. If you pay
with certain credit cards (AMEX) they will double the original factory
warranty.
