If he (she) has an upgraded 280 to 2300, the unit may still have the SCSI 
cable installed in lieu of the IDE cable.  If so, it will need the IDE cable 
and a drive (stock 2.5" drives of <<most>> flavors seem to work...I had a 4 
gig Toshiba from a dead Compaq in the 2300 I had).
