My old battery died, presumed shorted, after a screw came loose inside the powerbook (now fixed, of course). I have a brand new battery now, but it was a fair while in transit. When I insert the battery, it is briefly recognised (as empty), but no "lightning" charging symbol shows, then a half a second later the 2400 can no longer recognise the battery. I have reset the power manager and zapped the PRAM to no avail, and searched the archives without finding an answer. Any ideas? Lara ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
