If you haven't popped the lid on a dock before, try this on an empty dock
first.
Push in the door flap, then look inside for the three molded in "stripes"
on the
insides of the top cover. Place your thumbs on the stripes with the rest of
your
fingers on the outsides of the cover and squeeze. This releases the latches
at
the front of the cover, which you can now rotate up and off of the dock.
Now that you know how to open the top cover of an empty dock you can do
the same with the locked dock. Use a screwdriver or other thin tool to press
in one side, then the other side (having three hands or a friend helps). You
can then pop of the lid and get access to the duo sitting inside. After the
duo is out, you can take apart the lock if you want. To get more access to
it, you can remove the main subassembly by loosening the two spring loaded
screws that were below the duo, detach the power supply cables and floppy
disk drive cables, then pull the entire dark grey subassembly slightly
forward
and rotate out.
I had to do this once before - a friend inherited a locked duo + dock, but
none
of my keys would match it. Since he didn't want it to lock again, he was OK
with disassembling the lock.
