Well take the 280c that is for parts and use its screen to replace the
screen on the 2300, I assume that the 280c has a good screen. Well for
the batteries those old batteries are almost certainly dead. If you feel
like it head down to your local battery store like Batteries Plus. Show
them the battery and they could either reassemble the battery with new
cells or you could get eight 3/4 A NiMH cells(I think) and you could put
the new cells in and put the battery back together. With laptop batteries
at least don't bother with trying to get a used battery, they might work,
but I couldn't tell you for how long. Look around though depending on how
many batteries you want to try and reassemble you could get a volume
discount.
