I use an old Smart and Friendly 4x CDR drive with Toast 3.45 and can boot from it. Sure it is slow, but it works every time. I find it hard to compare USB and SCSI. I'm running an iMac with a USB Zip drive and the 2400 with a SCSI Zip dirve. The SCSI is at least four times faster. USB is good for keyboards, and joysticks, but I will not buy any more media with USB. ShaneW I still like my 2400 after almost four years of brutal usage. Even today I still get PC people who are impresss with it. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Messenger - Talk while you surf!
