OK, it's me again. Sorry for yet again another post, but I'm still experiencing very strange behavior with my 280c. First, the battery level is way off. I started using my two fully recharged battery, one after each other, and I got maybe 30 minutes of power. That doesn't seem a lot. Then, the battery level did go down pretty quickly until it reached 0% (that was from the "Essential PowerBook Strip"), and stayed there for maybe an additional 10 minutes. Is it the kind of estimate you can expect from a Duo 280c? That doesn't seem very reliable. All this time, the Apple's PowerBook strip battery level was flashing the last gray bar. And I certainly was able to use the computer for an additional 10 minutes, if not more, until I got a message saying that the screen would dim to preserve power and at some point, the computer would go to sleep if not plugged quickly. I've tried my other battery, that was fully recharged yesterday, and the battery level stayed at 0%! Again, I was able to use the Duo for maybe 20-30 minutes, all the time being at 0%. That seems odd. And a last thing I did notice was that the estimated time remaining wasn't displayed. Since that's my first real use with the batteries, I'm wondering if this is a standard behavior I can expect from my Duo, or is there something wrong? I did completely re-install the System yesterday evening, after doing a low level format to the drive, so it's a fresh installation, with very few third party extension, basically only the Asant EN/SC one. Anybody has any suggestion, idea, pointer? If I don't hear from anyone, I guess I'll try to re-install the system again, maybe I missed something with the previous installation, because I will need the computer in shape tomorrow. Thanks in advance! -Laurent. ============================================================ Laurent Daudelin <http://home.cox.rr.com/nemesys> Logiciels Nemesys Software mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
