I recently experienced a problem charging my battery when the 2400c decided not to recognize either one of them. I reset the power manager by depressing the reset switch as described elsewhere - that didn't work. So I used the little shareware app ResetPwrMgr - that didn't work. Then I disconnected the lead from the PRAM battery and let the whole thing sit for a few hours - that failed to cure the problem. I tried pushing the battery in for 30 seconds releasing it for 10 and repeating several times (talk about tedious!). Every few times the battery would be recognized for about five seconds (in a fully discharged state - though I doubt that was true) before reverting to the battery with the dreaded red "X". Is there something else I can do? I am quite comfortable taking the machine apart, etc... I have considered swapping out the I/O, Power Supply board at MacResQ. Would that solve the problem? /gw ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
