First, a pet peeve: Please use a relevant subject line

Second, I would recommend that everyone having trouble with the power
manager disconnect the AC adapter, remove the battery and disconnect the
PRAM battery. Then leave the computer that way OVERNIGHT. Not just 15
minutes, leave it for a few hours at least. That way, you can be sure that
every capacitor in the entire system drains of energy and forces a reload
of the powermanager software from the ROM.

I did this once when I had a Duo that would only light the LED in the top
of the screen casing when plugged in, on battery and in every other
conceivable manner. Let it drain and it fired right up. I also recommend
simply repeatedly trying to turn it on and off, never know what might
happen, I've had that work, too.
