Dear Gurus,
        I've a 280c running 7.5.5 with a 14400 internal modem. I've a
Global Village 56K external modem attached to the dock (Model A702) and
connect with Free PPP 2.5v2. I've Express Modem 3.03 and Powerport 2.5.5.
Worked fine for a long time.
In London recently I couldn't get email (with the 14400) in a hotel
where I've worked successfully before. Message: "No dial tone".
Problem is: Back home, in the Duo Dock I now get the same message
when trying to use the 56k. The 14400 works fine. When I take the Duo out
of the dock and attach the 56K, message is: "Serial Port already in use".
The 56K modem isn't two years old.
        Any suggestions welcomed.
                                Donald McCaig
