Hello, I am a recently new member of the list. I got a dock (model one) for $5 (with another mac), so I did the research, and found out about the duos, then went ahead and bought a duo 2300. Well, the power supply is no good in the dock. I bought a refurbished power supply. It worked when I didn't have the extra HD connected. I connected the extra HD, hit the power, and it was on for about four seconds before it shut it's self off. Now when I hit the power button, it makes the monitor(the external one) power on for about 1 second, and I can hear the power supply click once. Then nothing. repeated pushes on the power button and the same result. My question is, did I blow the supply? If I did, then WTF? I had a ethernet card in the slot. The extra drive and the card, coupled with the computer, shouldn't blow the supply, right? The external drive is good, I checked the cables on another computer. The duo works on it's own power supply. Frustrated, J. MacDonald ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
