OK, I just wanted to mention my experiences with repairing Duo keyboards:

100% success !

Now, I am pretty sure what I am about to say has been said before by
different people, but I wanted to put it all together.

I had 3 keyboards that would not work. 1 would not work with any
keys, and 2 with a set of keys that would not work.

The first thing I did was clean the keyboard; take it all apart, and
using some isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) gently wipe the silver
contacts (if they arent silver, they are pretty dirty. Then, gently
rub the traces with a clean pencil eraser. Clean the eraser often.
Gently wipe the keyboard again with iPrOH.

Also remember not to knock off the small Caps Locl LED, its really
easy to do (I did it on 2 keyboards). NOt to worry though, I bet you
can put it right back on with Loctite.

NOw, try the keyboard in a duo (dont bother putting the keys back on
yet). If there are some keys that dont work, or a string of keys
(remember if there are several keys that dont work they are probably
all one trace), use a voltmeter (set on resistance) to test to see
where there is a dead spot where no current is getting through.
On my 2 keyboards I found the spot, and using "Loctite" (the stuff
you find at a car repair store to fix the heating elements in your
window defroster) gently apply a small quantity to the break. let dry
overnight, and BINGO ! Those bad keys work. My only worry is that
the dried loctite might rub off over time with violent keyboard use.

This would be great to put in a FAQ, with illustrations (now I have
to get a digital camera).

Sorry if I stole someones previous post.
