Maintaining civility, "that turns out not to be the case." Or perhaps, "that is true, except when it isn't." If you carefully parse what I wrote, I did not suggest that there is a general incompatibility between Acrobat 3 files and Acrobat 4. However, there *is* an incompatibility between certain Acrobat 3 .pdf files and Acrobat 4, which was noted on the Apple page I where originally downloaded them. If one tries to open them in Acrobat 4, the error message "Unable to extract the embedded font 'Palatino-Roman'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." appears. "Some", in this case, being >95%. These are Developer Notes for various Duo and Dock models, not the service manuals per se, which is where perhaps I led you astray. They nonetheless contain useful information which is not necessarily in the service manuals, so I was lumping them together for comprehensiveness. > Acrobat Reader 3 won't open and read Acrobat 4 > files... This statement I agree with. BC __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
