There was a major underseas cable which was damaged, causing some problems
with phone/Internet service to Oz. Lots of folks couldn't get data off the
island, and phone services were a bit mussed for a while. Brandy had
mentioned that she was using an alternate service as she could not access the
usegroups for a while, thus the reason for the comment.
