Here is my solution to the broken eyelets. I am assuming that the
"eyelets" in question are the little plastic slots in the lower duo case
half just south of the hard drive.

I just bend and cut a regular stick pin, heat it with a match and slide
it into place. A little "hook" on the ends of the U shaped piece give it
some teeth. Make it a tight fit such that it has to melt a bit of
plastic as it slides on. Then a little glue (epoxy, JB Weld) to cover it
and help secure it and it is as good as new, sorta. See pic at:
