Actually, if you have SpeedDoubler 8 installed on only one mac, it will
slow down Appletalk. However, if you have SD8 on BOTH machines, it speeds
it up quite a bit.  (This info from reviews of SD8, if I remember them
correctly.)

SD8 is required for OS 8 compatibility
