I used a duo 280c for a whole year before I discovered that there was NO
heat transfer pad between the CPU chip and the stiffener. It never gave
me any problems, and according to the temperature control panel module
it didn't run very hot. I have since put the correct heat transfer pad
in place and it is only around 5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit cooler.
