Has anyone tried using Newer's Firewire2Go cardbus card with their 2400c? I am using MacOS 8.6, Apple's Firewire 2.3.3, Firewire2Go Enabler 1.0.1. (btw, my 2400c is MCE cardbus-enabled) I have been trying to hook up a 80GB Maxtor firewire drive (my one and only firewire device) but it hasn't been mounting -- I know the drive works (it comes up fine on a G4 I borrowed) but I can't get it to show up on my 2400c. Any experience with these devices? Hints? Suggestions? I wrote to MCE a few days ago and haven't gotten a response. I spoke with Maxtor and got the software requirements from them (i.e. firewire 2.3.3). I haven't contacted Newer yet because their product specifically says it's only good for '98 and '99 G3 powerbooks: but I know that kind of statement hasn't stopped people on this list from trying! TIA for any thoughts/ideas/experiences you're willing to share with me. --kara ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
