I've got a high end Sony WEGA which does similar things with a PeeCee I have. That said, make certain the drive is grounded to the chassis (some folks have used the "sticky foam" method of mounting....poor from an RF viewpoint). If there was any shielding that was removed for the 10 gigger, try to reinstall it. The AL foil may work...I prefer copper myself. However, it too should be well-grounded to the frame of the machine (not having a 2400 I'm not certain how the mounting/shielding is done). What you want to do is to prevent any stray RF from finding a channel to the outside. It may be as simple as grounding the drive. Hope this helps!
