Hi listers!
OK I confess, I am a newbie here and most of my
computer experience is in the WinTel world. I have a
couple of Duo's and have been learning lots just from
reading the posts from this great list.
Regarding these charges and type 3 batteries, what is
this firmware update? How is it done? What OS version
is needed? What charges need it? (OK enough questions.
:-))
I have several Type 3 batteries that I received in a
lot of items I purchased from a computer liquidator.
Some work in my Duos (270c & 280C) and others don't.
When I try to recharge them, most of them will not
take a charge and the light on the external charger
will glow red in just a few minutes. Yet they worked
fine until I drained them. (Most of them had some
charge when I received them)
I have heard that all I may need is to update my
charger but know one I know can tell me how to do
this.
Lastly, I would be interested in one of those new
chargers at $15 with a non DOA warranty as well.
