I'm about to [re]partition a new Toshiba 20gig that I had put into my 2400 when the I/O board crapped out. Any suggestions/hard info about relative speed, etc., of the two common Mac formats? My rationale to partition is that it'll make it easier to backup, defrag, etc.; I already understand that the HFS penalty (where each file now takes a minimum 300K, 600K if it has a resource fork), is wiped away with HFS+. And I've gotten my disk fix utilities upgraded. The unknown issues are speed, safety, and of course, other unknowns.
