A while back someone was looking for a scanner they could use on new and old
Macs. Here is a Umax scanner I found at Small Dog Electronics.

It's a Umax Astra MX3, SCSI/USB scanner which sells for $75.

I have had two different Umax scanners. I'm currently using a Umax Astra
1200S SCSI and like it very much. While it's not the best-of-the-best, it
has served me well for my needs as a graphic designer. I love the
descreening function in the software when I find I have to scan from printed
materials. I put together a catalog for a restaurant products reseller and
often find myself stuck with printed catalogs from vendors as my only source
of pictures.

I use the Umax Photoshop plugin to scan from. I've used it with PS4.0 & 5.5
but I haven't used PhotoShop 6.0 yet.

Go to www.smalldog.com and do a search for "UMAX Astra MX3"
