>Does anyone have any idea how to get a SCSI CD Rom working on a 2400c/180
>with OS 9? FWB CD Rom Toolkit 3.0.2 does not work...

I use the same version of CD Rom Toolkit with OS 8.1, so I'm not sure if I
can help or not, but it did take me a while to get it working when I
started using it. Is the CDT extension showing up on startup
(rainbow-colored CD)? And if so, does it have a question mark over it? For
me the problems are usually fixed if I...

-Make sure the CDT software has "on" and "fast" checked (this is not always
easy, as I haven't figure out exactly when this menu will come up... it may
be only at the first start-up after reinstalling).

-Check all the connections. Sometimes just pushing in on all of them really
hard will make it work, even though they don't seem loose at all.

-Connect and start like this:
1) Start with both machines off and unplugged
2) Connect them with SCSI cable and plug in Mac (if you're using AC)
3) Plug in and turn on CD-rom drive
4) Start up Mac

Another thing I've npticed is that CDT doesn't always uninstall if you use
the uninstall option, even though it tells you it has. I run the uninstall
thing (on the installation disk) and then use Find File to hunt down
unremoved items. When everything has been deleted then I reinstall. I also
had an extansions conflict with Apple CD Audio Player and had to disable
that to get CDT to work.

I hope something above helps! Good luck.

Corina
