After normal use since I bought my 2300* four years ago, I was having a problem getting it to recognize my Sony external CD-ROM drive. It also would not start up in my NewerTech SCSI Micro Dock, but worked fine in my Apple Mini Dock. So, I zapped the P-RAM, rebuilt the desktop and still no change. Then I reset the power manager. Still nothing. Then I removed the main battery and the backup battery and let the Duo sit overnight. The next day I put all batteries back in and plugged the 2300 into its power adapter overnight. That is when the sleep light began to glow steady green. It will not go off and the 2300 will not start up. The only way to make it go off is to remove the backup battery. What could be the problem here and what else can I do about it? *System Info: Duo 2300 : Mac OS 8.0 \ 8.1 : 56MB Ram, 19.2 Global Village Modem -- David ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
