OK, I am trying to figure out how to make a HD activity light , using
power from the HD. I am going to use a small 80 meg IMB HD as a test
unit:

http://www.storage.ibm.com/techsup/hddtech/wds2/wds2jum.htm

Reading the above docs it says a LED can be run from pin 8, then to ground.

After looking at all the drive's docs... where is ground ?

And for that matter, how do you specify a SCSI address using these
types of drives ? I am expecting 2 pins per address jumper.....

Assuming I can find the ground, then I can build a circuit:

Drive LED power ---->resistor---->LED----->ground

although I am not sure how to choose a resistor (power from the drive
is 100mA max).

thanks,

Mad Dog
