Hi Guys,

I'm new to the list so if I may ask but a question...
My PCMCIA capabilties died in my 2400c about 1 1/2 months ago. First the
lower slot went, then the upper slot went. I witnessed the upper slot going,
the computer crashed and emitted this delightful smell of.. I guess
capacitor frying.... Anyway, afterwards pcmcia cards could not be read by
the machine. The eject mechanism would not work either. I suspect that a
transistor or fuse blew cutting off power to the PC card circuitry. If it's
a controller chip then I know that I'm screwed for an I/O card/motherboard.
Anyone have any experience with this? I'm hoping it's just a fuse. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Curt
