On 80mb ram 2400s, I find OS 8.6 the best compromise for speed, stability, versatility and ram footprint. (I keep 9.0.4 on a separate partition but resolutely hate looking at the clunky Sherlock interface, among a host of irritations and bugs). If I recall from threads of 2 years ago, OS 8.6 both extends battery life by 10-15 min and lowers temperatures around 10 F. So, OS 8.6 and the aluminum block modification ought to be good for at least 15 F. --- Sidney Ho ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
