Hey folks, I'm an old member that just returned today, so please excuse if this has been discussed recently. I put OS 9.0.4 on my 2400 after I bought a G3 400 and 96MB RAM module (112MB total) about 6 months ago. I didn't stick with the setup because of the intense amount of RAM OS 9 uses before I even launched an app, and once I launched something like IE or OE, it got supremely worse. Note: I do not (AND WILL NOT) use virtual memory I reverted back to OS 8.6, and am extremely happy with the much more effective RAM usage, and what I believe to be a performance boost. So, hence the question... IS 9.1 MORE LIKE 9.0.4 OR 8.6 IN RAM USAGE? (and performance?) Thanks, Jay ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
