I'm still a little surprised with the use of Ti. Yes
it is light and non corrosive, but the Mg alloys are
much stiffer. For instance the SR-71 black bird skin
is made of Ti. The wings can flex without any real bad
things happening. But, for stuff like the landing
gear, Mg alloys are used for they are stiffer and flex
less.

On the weight issue between the 2400 and TiBook, I
don't know. I carry my 2400 everywhere. After about
four to six hours of carrying my 2400 over the
shoulder, the 4.4 lbs becomes heavy. Please do not
call me a wussy, I prefer engineer. My main beef with
the 2400 is the battery life. I have ordered a TiBook
because I will be getting married in five months, and
if I do not buy a new laptop now, I won't for a wile.
