I recently (today!) set up my DuoDock on an Ethernet network with my G3. I don't really want to hook up an extra monitor, mpose and keyboard, so I have the 2300 start up in the dock, then I can AppleShare with the 2300. 2 Problems: 1. if I use the internal HD in the Dock as a backup, I have to go through ethernet to transfer the files from the 2300 to the DuoDock drive, so it is very slow, as opposed to if I did this without a network it would be at SCSI speed. 2. How do I shut the 2300 down when I am done and want to remove it from the dock? If I just turn off the power from the back, then I am shutting the 2300 down improperly. If anyone out there has an answer for me, I would be grateful. Todd ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
