I did the same thing, and I love 8.6 on my 2300c. It's a tad bit slower, but
I like some of the new features (also seems more stable). I actually like
the little bleeps and bloops of the "Platinum Sounds" because I like getting
audio feedback of onscreen stuff.
I've also had lots of fun with the "Speakable Items", as an old Knight Rider
fan. Just something about talking to a computer and having it do stuf.f..
