Unfortunately the normal Power Manager reset as you described doesn't appear to work. Do you think it should be done with the battery in and power plugged in as well, or with one or the other out? Also, to which 2400 web site are you referring? Can you post the link? Both are guarentted to screw up the power manager so the battery won't charge, and it can cause a few GLOD's as well. You've just corrupted your power manager and you need to push the reset button for about 40 seconds and restart.
