I just installed a 5 Gb IBM Travelstar hard drive into my 2400. I can hear it spin up
(and keep spinning), but Hard Drive Setup and Norton don't see it. The finder doesn't
tell me it's an unrecognized format either and ask me to format it. Do you guys think
I
got a bad drive?
I got it off of eBay and it had been in a Compaq laptop prior to my getting it, but it
was
supposedly tested. Is there something I'm missing or some way that this drive would be
incompatable with my 2400?
Any help would be appreciated!
P.S.: After it didn't work the first time, I tore the whole thing down again and
reseated
the drive just in case, but still no
dice!
