I think Laurent is kind of right.  I personally have a
2400c and can not stand to get anything bigger than
that (except maybe a subnotebook titanium, but that's
a different story).  I think the Kanga model or a
Wallstreet is the best value.  They're both G3 and can
be bought for around the $800 mark fully loaded.  My
2400c is up to par with them, but my powerbook was
upgraded with G3 card, MCE cardbus, 4GB HD, USB Card,
Farallon Ethernet Card, PC Card Modem, and the maximum
ram is still only 80 MB.  And believe me, it is
CONSIDERABLY MORE than $800.  So unless you absolutely
have to have the subnotebook size, do not go this
route!!!
