About 4 months ago, I swapped a working quadra 840av for an OS 8.5 install disk. Some people thought I was crazy. At the time, OS 8.5 disks were hard to find. Aftermarket retailers were charging $80-$100 and they were going on ebay for $60-$100. An 840av with better specs than mine went for $50 on ebay, which was typical at the time as many people were latching onto faster computers at low prices. Not too many months before that, 840av's were running at least $100. It's timing and availability. I would like to know where you saw OS 8.5 install disks for $25.
