Wise List-Folk:
I am new to the world of duos, having gotten my 280c up and running thanks to
finely focused help from the List, and I have been tapping at iBooks, G3
PowerBooks and the touted titanium G4 and all I can say is: my little duo
chugs along just fine, thank you.
I don't wanna listen to music or fry steaks with it, I just want to write, do
some graphics to support what I write, and do emails and be able to check in
from around the world: the duo does it. I find the speed refreshing: my mind
can keep pace. I find the smaller screen focuses my attention on writing, and
the f-keyboard (recommended by the List) works great. I have older software
on it: Word 5.1a, Nisus Writer 4.1.6 and dictionaries, Canvas 3.5, AOL v3
(free account), GV external 56 modem, and MacChess and the duo is light,
compact and beautiful to look at. I had a '63 Chevy I felt the same way about.
I got this little thing because I lurked and listened to the List. I got it
fixed up thanks to the List. If it breaks down I'll go to the List first for
answers. I intend to use it till it or my fingers stop working, whichever
goes first, or maybe my mind...
Thanks!
Pete
