Dave,

It will work just fine. If the 2400's dirve has the mounting holes for the
screws about one inch from each end, then it will just screw right in. If
it has the holes almost at each corner, then you will need an adapter. I
am currently offering one for $15 for anyone who needs one. (It didn't fit
with the HD I had to install....DOH!)

As far as I know, the 2400 should have come with a drive that will bolt
directly in to the 2300 without an adapter. (My 2400 did)
