My friendly Mac shop (Mad Macs) tried several NUBUS cards in a DuoDock and
failed to get them to work. One of the listers here suggested pulling one
from a Macintosh II since that does work.
In the end I got circa 1990 Apple video card on Ebay (10 pounds) that gives
millions of colours on 640x480, or hundreds (?! sic) on a 832x624 monitor.
It's also quite slow.
In short, it's doable, but the more recent cards don't sem to work.
Lowendmacs had an articleon the best video cards for old Macs quite
recentlym but I forget which one they recommended. I think it's worth
doing, given how cheap it is.
