I'm trying to decide if a 2400 will do the job for me. I love my little duo 230 which I basically use as a "PDA" replacement-calendar software, light word processing and email, etc. I'm trying to find out if I can "get away" with using a PB2400 as my main computer for work (I have a iMac DV at home and currently a 6100 at work). The small size and light weight are great. I basically take my duo everywhere with me when I'm on the job. I use my work computer for the following things. 1. A lot of word processing. 2. Calendar and contacts program 3. a lot of email. 4. A good bit of browsing the internet. In pondering this purchase I have the following questions. How big a deal is the small screen? How big a deal is the small keyboard? Are the keyboard replacements available a lot better for word processing than the original keyboard? How important is the 80 meg ram barrier? Since it doesn't come with an internal modem how "mobile" is it in terms of the internet? Is it possible to use a cable modem with it? Or should I just spring for the extra money (and weight) and buy and iBook? Ron ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
