This is often caused by the screws that hold the keyboard down being
too tight! see http://www.power-macintosh.com/duo.html#bugs for more
info on the problem.

+ +Subject: [Duo2400] keyboard trouble on duo 230
+ +
+ +
+ +
+ +Some keys on the keyboard of my recently inherited Duo 230
+ +aren't working
+ +too well (it takes a lot of pressing & wiggling to get the
+ +letter typed). Is
+ +this just due to dirt, or is it a more serious hardware
+ +problem (eroded
+ +contacts?)?
+ +
+ +Has anybody solved this painlessly (i.e. without having to
+ +suffer the
+ +unhelpful condescension of authorised assistance centers)?
+ +Is the keyboard
+ +removeable? Am I likely to find a replacement keyboard anywhere?
+ +
+ +Thanks for any suggestions.
+ +
+ +Philip Rogosky.
