A friend of mine did this same thing to his and my 2400. Two small squares
of the double sided stick foam tape - left the paper on one side, cut them
to about the size of the existing foam pads and added them on. The button is
much firmer now and registers all the clicks. Mine does not have the click
feel any longer, and it is not quite effective all the way at the ends of
the wings, but mine was all but dead before.
