I went to a flea-market last weekend, and had quite a good harvest... One guy sold me some software for USD 7.50, including the install floppies for Office 4.2.1 and a separate set of floppies for Word 6, the CDs for Freehand 7, floppies for Photoshop 3, Illustrator 5.5, something called Avid Videoshop (CD still sealed) versions 2 and 3 (anyone know what this is ?), and some other stuff that shipped with Performas. (All this original disks.) I also found a box of Powerbook Duo accessories, with a floppy drive, some batteries (new, but died on the shelf), two Duo power adapters and one for another type of powerbook I don't know yet, a floppy adapter, and ah yes, an E-Machines EtherDock was in there too, all this for about USD 35. Also included was a Visioneer PaperPort scanner. This seems to be a nice machine. Looks good too. I've been looking around on the net, and the software that's developed for it looks like an interesting documents-handling program. Anyway, I haven't been able to test it yet, since I don't seem to find any drivers for the machine. I believe I have the first version of the scanner, and Visioneer only has drivers for later types (vx, mx etc.). And they are protecting them from being downloaded.
