I forgot that the original paperport was a serial scanner. I have a
PaperportVX which uses SCSI. Might have to perform a bit of SCSI Voodoo
every once in a while, but that's nothing compared to a powerbook's
modem/printer port!

PS: The software (later versions) can be made to work with OS 8.6 and 9,
but not without lots of jumping through hoops. Look for "Paperport
Preservation Society" on Yahoo.
