Sold my 2400 and went with 3400. The increased memory 144MB vs. 80MB, the drive bay
where you can have built-in ZIP, CD-ROM or MO or extra HD, larger screen size and
MOST IMPORTANT readily available and cheap ($25 ea new) batteries far out weighed the
lighter weight and size of 2400. The battery situation is really important; just the
cost of having two or three good extra 2400 batteries is comparrable to the cost of
decked out 3400.Actually when you compare similarly configured machines - ie floppy
and zip, MO or CD-ROM there is no weight savings. However I do not use computer for
air travel or similar situations where the reduced size of the 2400 seems the real
critical difference and ii the over-riding advantage.
