Hello, I have a Powermac 5500 and a PowerBook Duo 230. So far, both were connected via Apple Talk and the printer port. Now that I own a DuoDock II, I would like to connect both via Ethernet, which would allow much more faster connections. Furthermore, Ethernet on the PM 5500 is needed to connect the computer to the internet via ADSL. So far, so good, now comes the problem: The Powermac does not seem to recognize the Ethernet Card in the PCI slot! The control panel for DSL does not allow me to select the card in the PCI slot (it behaves as if there were no card installed) Do I need a driver (system extension, control panel etc.) to use the Ethernet card? The extension named "Apple Ethernet CS II" which is installed is wrong, isn't it? It's for a card in the Communication Slot, right? Where can I get the correct software? I have MacOS 8.6 installed.
