Sorry folks; I'm starved for attention.
My 2300's internal modem just stopped working last week.
I can still hear it click on, but it won't respond to PPP, won't initialize,
just learned I can't fax either, there is no joy in mudville. :^p
Lucky I have a 56K external, which is fine for e-mail, but no go for fax.
The stock app Fax Terminal (v2.1) only calls up the 14.4; `
I can't find any easy way of making it use the serial port.
Maybe there's other (small) fax software I can use?

I understand that Duo modems are mostly software.
I found an Apple Telecom installer(no version#) in my Utilities folder.
Should I reinstall this, or might I have a hardware/fuse problem?
Is there a way to tell the difference?
