IIRC System 7.5 and up has all the drivers needed to correctly use Type 2 and
3 batteries on older Duos. If you are using 7.0 or 7.1 then I believe the
extension are still on Apple FTP site. Ah... yes, Found them.
The readme file (you should read first anyway) is at
ftp://ftp.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_Am
erican/Macintosh/PowerBook/Other_PB_SW/Battery_Tools_2.0.txt
And the file itself is at
ftp://ftp.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_Am
erican/Macintosh/PowerBook/Other_PB_SW/Battery_Tools_2.0.sea.bin
You may have to copy & paste the long url. These links are for users in North
America and has any Duo except for 280, 280c, and 2300c while using pre System
7.5.
